This was my first professional project. During the height of the pandemic, Utah County brought me onto a small team to build a web app for managing COVID-19 vaccination clinics. This was before the vaccines were available, but the county anticipated high demand once they were. They wanted a way to streamline the process of scheduling and managing appointments.
During its first year (2021–2022), more than 400,000 appointments were scheduled and managed through the app. It even ended up receiving an award in 2022 for its role in helping the county manage the pandemic.
It’s still in operation, though these days it’s used more for general health clinics and events hosted by the county’s Health Department. I don’t think the UI has aged particularly well, but it still brings me a lot of satisfaction because I know it was a useful tool for the county, and I’m proud to have contributed to it.
